The 17th March marks an internationally famous date, recognised all throughout the world – St Patrick’s Day!

St Patrick’s Day is a celebration to commemorate the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the 5th century. It is also a global celebration of Irish culture and is celebrated with parades, foods, music, dancing, drinking and all things green! On St Patrick’s Day it’s typical to wear something green, and to drink a pint of Guinness!

Here, in Melbourne, it’s usual to see many bars and restaurants celebrating the event with people spending the day dancing, drinking and eating and having a great time!

We want to know what you have planned for St Patrick’s Day! Are you planning an event with your friends? Are you dressing up in all green to mark the occasion? Or maybe you are planning to cook a traditional Irish meal? Whatever your plans may be, here at Ozford Melbourne, we want to know!
