Information sent between your browser and the bank is encrypted and secure. Our Online Banking uses Extended Validation Certificates so you can verify you’re connected to a legitimate Westpac website to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your information. Current Students please quote your student number, which is your account reference number in the Reference Number box. Welfare and Accommodation Fee

Below fees are compulsory for International Students Under the age 18 who require Ozford to assess and provide a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW) letter.

Administrative Fee

Administrative fees are a range of charges that apply to specific services supplied by Ozford or other external organisations. These charges are only payable if the services are required by the students.

External: Overseas Student Health Cover International students are required to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) in place for the duration of their visa before arriving in Australia. Ozford can arrange OSHC for students with NIB or students can make their own OSHC arrangements.	Fee starts from $575 per year for single membership.
External: Airport Pick up and Homestay Placement For students over the age of 18, arrangement for airport pick up and homestay can be made for a fee, or students can make their own arrangements.	$400 per request

Financial Penalties

These are designed to discourage students from breaching Ozford rules and may be charged when certain rules are broken.

Besides education fees, there are other costs associated with studying and living in Australia. The Australian Government advises all applicants for student visas to allow an estimated AU$24,505 per year for living expenses. You can use the Cost of Living Calculator to get an estimate of potential expenses.

Welfare Arrangement for Under 18 Student – Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW)

Where parents require Ozford to accept the responsibility for approving and confirming the accommodation, support and general welfare arrangements for a student who is under the age of 18, Ozford must be satisfied with the arrangement before student enrolment can be confirmed. In addition a monthly care provision fee is applicable until the student turns 18.

Ozford will agree to take CAAW responsibility for a younger student on the condition that:

Option 1: • Option 1: Students’ parents give permission for students to physically reside with a homestay organised by Ozford; or
Option 2: • Option 2: Students to physically reside with a carer nominated by the parents and approved by Ozford.

Also, all students who are under 18 years of age must appoint an independent welfare support person.

Please Refer to Younger Student and Homestay Policy and Procedure for further details of Ozford’s process for approval of the homestay arrangement and independent welfare support person.

Where Ozford does not take CAAW responsibility. The student will stay in Australia with a parent or a ‘nominated guardian’ approved by the Department of Home Affairs, who can be the overseas student’s parent, person who has legal custody, or an eligible relative who is aged over 21 and is of good character who has a visa to stay in Australia for the duration of the student visa or until the student turns 18.

Fee-Help

When you attend university or an approved higher education provider, you can get a FEE-HELP loan from the Commonwealth Government to pay to all or part of your tuition fees.

Eligibility

To get a FEE-HELP loan, you must:
– be an Australian citizen and meet the residency requirements (you must study at least part of your course in Australia).
– be a New Zealand Special Category visa (SCV) holder or permanent humanitarian visa holder and meet the residency requirements.
– be enrolled in a fee-paying higher education program
– be enrolled in an eligible unit of study by the census date for that unit.
– not have already borrowed the entirety of your HELP Loan limit.
