This weekend’s activities kick off with the 20th Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome at the Arts Centre in the heart of Melbourne. This truly is an event not to be missed as the Lord Mayor welcomes all new students to the city of Melbourne! There will be food stalls, entertainment and exciting performances all followed off by an exciting after-party at Fortress Melbourne.

Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, Royal Exhibition Building.

The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival is an annual celebration of fashion and arts and has been running from the 4th March with its final tomorrow, the 14th March. Australia’s largest fashion event is all-encompassing with a program of runways, workshops, seminars, forums, live entertainment and much more.

The fashion festival is located throughout Victoria however its main hub is located in the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. Plaza, Melbourne’s liveliest fashion party is held there and even better- it’s FREE entry!

Two Worlds Festival, Birrarung Marr

The Two Worlds Festival is a celebration of indigenous and western culture bringing people and cultures together through food, music, dance, art and discussions!

This year there will be cultural activities and performances from Djirri Djirri Dancers, The Didge Circle, Culture Is Life, Charcoal Lane cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, Korin Gamadji Institute and kids’ activities and interactive workshops including Kids Yoga, Immy Owusu Drum and Dance workshops, Urban Upcycle, face-painting and Big Lawn games.
